Since my last blog I have done some additional research and I have decided to do my project on how the college system has changed over the years from actually holding high standards and providing students with a high quality education to becoming more and more privatized. I think this topic is really interesting because it relates to me since I am a current college student facing the current challenges of privatization of higher education. Also it will be interesting to see how college education has transformed throughout the years. The key words that provided me with good results on the internet were "college scam" and "privatization of higher education". Some of the articles I found helped me see how higher education is not providing students with the tools they need to succeed anymore and instead are focused on ways to increase profit. Also some books that I found to be in interesting were "College: What is Was, Is, and Should Be" by Andrew Delbanco and "University Inc. The Corporate Corruption of Higher Education". This searches gave me new ideas such as how the future of students is affected by the privatization of higher education and how our system is inefficient compared to other countries.
